Ag-Pride is the new distributor of Bomford Turner vegetation and cultivation equipment.
British vegetation management and cultivation equipment specialist Bomford Turner has appointed NSW-based machinery importer Ag Pride Australia as its new national distributor.
Ag-Pride Australia Product Manager Lance Hills says, Bomford has been a leader in green maintenance technology for over 100 years.
“Bomford is recognised around the world for its high-performance reach arm boom mowers, mower attachments, hedge-cutters, rotary pasture toppers, tri-wing rotary slashers, and cultivation machinery,” Hills says. “Bomford has always been the leader in its field.”
A British company that has been around since the late 1800’s, Bomford has a design team with over 200 years of collective experience.
The company says its machinery range is conceived, designed, built and tested on site in the UK, with flat bar and box sectioned steel delivered to the factory at one end and the finished product delivered at the other.
“We are looking forward to adding Bomford to our stable of great brands,” Hills says. “It’s a high-value product with excellent build quality and finish, designed with ease of control, operator comfort and servicing at the center of attention.
“From compact tractors to large, rigid-frame tractors, Bomford Turner has a reach arm mower for every operation. It builds arms with 3.1m to 8.1m reach for front, rear, rigid frame, or three point linkage tractor mounting.
“We will be stocking and heavily promoting the Hawk, Falcon and Buzzard ranges of reach arm mowers in several different configurations.
“The parallel arm, fixed forward arm and modern variable forward arm are all designed to give the operator ease of use and maximum visibility,” Hills adds.
He says that, with operating reaches ranging from 5.4m to 8.0m, these machines will suit the majority of the market’s requirements.
They are fitted with ICS electronic joystick proportional controls with multiple programmable menus, designed to give the operator smooth and agile control.
Each model has various mulching head options with 1.2, 1.5m or 2.0m cutting widths, designed to cut grass and heavy vegetation up to 100mm in diameter.
“We will also have various optional attachments available, such as the Sheartrim cutter bars, Pro-Saw heads, rotary cutter heads and wire weed brushes,” Hills says.
Other Bomford models Ag-Pride will be offering are the Microklippa – “the ultimate tractor-operated hedging machine” – as well as Twin-Blade and Tri-Blade pasture toppers, and Flex Wing wide area rotary cutters.
Bomford makes over 20 separate designs in its large range of boom mowers, all with several variations. As well as boom mowers, flail mowers, and toppers, Bomford also produces a cultivator, the Dyna Drive.
“Bomford is a good fit for our business which already imports and distributes Berti machinery from Italy, Pronar agricultural implements from Poland, Land Pride rotary cutters and implements from the US, and K-MAC agricultural implements from Asia,” Hills says.
He says Berti is a leader in the mulcher manufacturing field, with 1.0m to 6.0m working widths that can be used across various applications.
“Berti is recognised as one of the leaders in the manufacturing of tractor-mounted mulchers, designed for various uses and compatible with tractors from 15hp to 250hp.
“They also manufacture professional hydraulic driven mulchers for excavators from 1.5 to 30 tonnes, as well as medium to large skid steer and compact track loaders,” he says.
“In addition to this, Berti have also entered the market with a wireless operated track mulcher, called the E-Trail, for challenging terrains up to 55 degrees. It offers the ultimate remotely controlled mowing capability with zero operator risk.
“On the other hand, we stock the American brand Land Pride, which specialises in heavy duty rotary cutters for agricultural, municipal, road side or airport applications.”
Land Pride, based in Kansas, US, has been manufacturing a range of rotary cutters and other implements for over 30 years.
“With linkage mounted models with working widths of 1.8m, 2.1m, 2.4m, 3.0m and trailing models with working widths of 3.0m, 3.6m, 4.5m and 6.0m, all Land Pride cutters feature stump jumper blade bases and smooth top decks with warranties up to seven years,” Hills says.
“We distribute all our brands via an authorised dealer network across Australia with representation in every state. Our experience in the agricultural, lifestyle and construction equipment business dates back to our humble beginnings in 1969.
“Vegetation management equipment is our speciality.”
Hills says Ag-Pride, much like its name, is proud of the distribution service it provides, and the company’s customer-first approach reflects that.
“We pride ourselves on providing good after sales support, so we carry an extensive range of spare parts in our warehouse. Orders are packed and dispatched daily and most consignments are delivered within 24 hours, with the exception of heavy items and remote area locations,” he says.
